ACTION ALERT: Feeling the Strain? Your Vote Can Make a Difference

Across Washington, individuals, families, and communities are feeling the strain. Rising grocery prices, the impact of tariffs, and recent federal cuts to critical programs like SNAP and Medicaid are making it harder for people to put food on the table—and more challenges are on the horizon.

The upcoming November 4th general election is an opportunity to join together in solidarity. The leaders we elect at the state and local level will shape how our communities respond to hunger and economic hardship. This is our chance to choose champions for food justice.

Need to Know: What’s on Your Ballot

Across Washington, voters will decide 239 races, including:

State Legislature: Nine legislative seats in the Seattle area alone—five Washington Senate seats and four House seats. These lawmakers decide on state nutrition programs, food assistance funding, and policies that affect food access.

Local Leadership: Across the state, mayor, city council, city attorney, and county council races that shape how our communities respond to hunger.

County Measures: Many counties have ballot questions, bonds, and levies that fund social services and community programs.
