Blog Strengthening Our Team for a Stronger Food Justice Movement November 4, 2025 Share on Twitter Share on Facebook Share on LinkedIn Share on Email At Northwest Harvest, we know that ending hunger in Washington requires more than food—it demands strategy, collaboration, and systems-level change. As we navigate a moment of profound challenge and opportunity in our state’s hunger relief landscape, we’re thrilled to welcome three exceptional leaders whose expertise will help us meet this moment with clarity, purpose, and impact. Anna Nepomuceno, Director of Public Policy Anna brings over a decade of political and advocacy experience to Northwest Harvest, with a career rooted in expanding access and equity. A graduate of UW Tacoma, Anna began her policy journey advocating for higher education access and went on to serve as Legislative Assistant to Representative Jake Fey. Most recently, she led statewide advocacy efforts at NAMI Washington to strengthen behavioral health systems. Anna’s lived experience—raising her children in poverty—fuels her deep commitment to food justice. Her leadership will be instrumental as we push for bold, equitable policy solutions that reflect the realities of Washington’s communities and the urgency of the moment. Carlos Jimenez, Director of Procurement Carlos brings over 20 years of procurement and supply chain leadership to Northwest Harvest, with experience at Starbucks and Saje Natural Wellness. He’s passionate about building strong teams, optimizing processes, and forging partnerships that drive efficiency and impact. In a time when food sourcing is increasingly complex and volatile, Carlos’s expertise will be key to ensuring our procurement strategy is resilient, equitable, and aligned with our mission. Ken Price, Chief Finance and Operations Officer Ken joined Northwest Harvest’s board in 2019 and stepped into his current role in July 2025. With more than 30 years of leadership experience—including two decades at Amazon—Ken is a seasoned strategist and operational innovator. His background spans the Navy, industrial startups, and consulting, and he’s known for building inclusive, high-performing teams that drive transformational change. Ken’s leadership will help us scale our impact, streamline operations, and ensure our internal systems reflect our values of anti-racism, collaboration, and community-centered action. “Together, Anna, Ken, and Carlos represent a powerful infusion of talent, vision, and lived experience.” said Thomas Reynolds, CEO. “Their leadership will help Northwest Harvest deepen our impact, strengthen our systems, and advance our mission of ending hunger through collective action.” Please join us in welcoming them!
