Flood Response: How Northwest Harvest Is Supporting Impacted Communities

Across Washington, many communities are facing severe flooding—bringing evacuations, road closures, and disruptions to daily life. At Northwest Harvest, we are closely monitoring the situation and mobilizing support where it’s needed most.

What We’re Doing Right Now

We’ve already begun delivering emergency supplies, including ready-to-eat food and bottled water, to partners serving communities under evacuation orders. As the full impact becomes clearer, we expect to do even more to help food-insecure communities during both the immediate response and recovery phases.

Urgent Needs We’re Seeing

Reports from our partners and local response efforts point to three critical needs:

  • Ready-to-eat and shelf-stable food items
  • Bottled water
  • Flexible support for partners facing sudden increases in demand or access challenges

How Partners Can Request Emergency Support

If your organization has been impacted by flooding—through displacement, evacuation shelter support, or loss of access—please reach out. Contact us at partner-emergency@northwestharvest.org, and our team will respond as quickly as possible.

Amplifying Your Calls for Help

We can also help share your support requests with our broader audience. Email engage@northwestharvest.org with details about what you need most right now, and we’ll publish your call for support on our website and social media so community members can step in to help.

We are committed to standing alongside our partners to ensure communities continue to have access to food during this emergency. Thank you for the critical work you do every day—especially in times of crisis.

Holiday Closure: Northwest Harvest will be closed in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr Day on 1/19. Connect with 2-1-1 to learn about local food access programs, or visit our statewide map.Map
