Hunger Action Day 2023 Join us in Olympia on February 7 for Hunger Action Day – the constituent advocacy day for anti-hunger issues. This is your opportunity to meet with your legislators to talk about your support for policy and budget investments on our agenda. The Anti-Hunger & Nutrition Coalition makes this day happen and will prepare you through webinar and day-of, in-person trainings; fact sheets with all the talking points; and other tools and resources to engage in advocacy on social media and in your legislative appointments. Register to attend Hunger Action Day on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. This is an important lobbying day for food justice advocates to meet with representatives and encourage them to take meaningful policy action to address the root causes of hunger in Washington state. You’ll be able to participate in-person or virtually. Take this quick survey to let us know you’re joining us for Hunger Action Day! Registration closes on February 2 Follow us on social media to stay up to date and connect with us! You can find us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! This year, we are focusing our efforts on these priorities: providing school meals at no cost for all students in Washington, Hunger Free Campuses to ensure that college and community college students meet their basic needs for food and other essential needs, investing more funding in the Fruit & Vegetable Incentives Program to increase affordability of nutritious food, and increasing support for We Feed Washington and our emergency food system. As part of our support agenda, we also will be tracking and advocating for increased housing protections, increased access to healthcare services for marginalized communities, the Guaranteed Basic Income pilot program, and the expansion of the Working Families Tax Credit. We appreciate your support and are grateful to have you join us in the movement for food justice!
