Hello and thank you for such a warm welcome to the world of food banks and meal programs! I’ve already met with many of you either in person, on the phone, or through email conversations. It’s awe-inspiring and humbling to meet such a dedicated, selfless group of individuals all collectively working to ameliorate hunger across the state. While I am new to Northwest Harvest, I have spent much of my time dedicated to both food and philanthropic pursuits. Prior to joining the Hunger Response Network, I have held a multitude of roles: non-profit administrator at Cornell University, catering manager, specialty foods manager, nutrition and culinary educator, natural foods spa cook and preschool chef! In 2010, I enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America determined to educate myself in cooking and nutrition in order to share my knowledge and skills with others. I am deeply passionate about feeding those in need and firmly believe that all people should have access to nutritious food that is culturally appropriate and appealing. I look forward to working with and getting to know each and every one of your programs in the near future!
