YAKIMA – April 22, 2013 – A new but familiar face is now making the Northwest Harvest Yakima Warehouse her home away from home. Central Washington native Sheri Bissell is our new Community Engagement Coordinator. Sheri takes over the position from veteran Rosemary Rief, who retired in November.

“I’m thrilled to join the Northwest Harvest team,” said Sheri. “I look forward to working with the great businesses, groups and individuals in the Yakima area to make sure that nutritious food is available to everyone in our region.”

Before joining the Northwest Harvest team Sheri spent 16 years at KNDO where she was instrumental in planning all of the station’s community events including the Northwest Harvest food drive and KNDO’s 50th Anniversary celebration. She also handled all of the station’s community tie-ins as the media sponsor.

Sheri currently sits on the board as secretary for the Yakima Chapter of the American Red Cross, and is also the Christian Growth chairperson for her church, Christ Lutheran Church in Yakima. Sheri lives in West Valley with her husband Brad and their two sons. Zach is 18, a high school senior and Dylan is 12, in 7th grade.

If you would like to plan an event or food drive to benefit Northwest Harvest please call Sheri’s cell 509.406.3740 or send her an email at
