SEATTLE – May 2, 2013 – Brandon Pedersen, the chief financial officer for Alaska Air Group, has joined the Northwest Harvest board for a two year term. Pedersen oversees Lean Process improvement, Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations and Project Management groups for the Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air parent company. He was promoted to CFO in 2010. Before joining Alaska Air Group in 2003, Pedersen was a partner at one of the ‘Big 4’ accounting firms in Seattle focusing on serving companies involved in retail, wholesale and/or distribution. He remains a licensed CPA.
Pedersen is a graduate of the University of Washington. He continues to be involved with the business school and is an active speaker on college campuses. Pedersen lives in Seattle with his wife, Janet, and their three children.
Northwest Harvest is the only nonprofit food bank distributor operating statewide in Washington with a network of more than 360 food banks, meal programs and high-need schools. We provide more than 1.7 million meals every month to this network. We distributed more than 26 million pounds of food last year, setting a distribution record and allowing us to serve unprecedented numbers of hungry people.
