Holding a Food Drive
You can hold a drive at your place of work, your office, social club, place of worship, or neighborhood grocery store, your children's school, a restaurant or an event such as a birthday party or soccer game. Food drive events can range from one-day activities to month-long events to year-round collections. The time frame and details are up to you.
Our staff can provide supplies, guidance on the things you need to consider and help in setting up, if needed. Please fill out our food drive application. Our staff will contact you with confirmation or questions within a few days. During the holiday season (October through December) response may take up to one week as we schedule for high volume. For more information, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 206.923.7421.
If you choose to make your food drive open to the public, we will put it on our list of public drop sites for the length of your drive. We refer to this list on our website when people inquire about where to bring food.
It is our policy not to collect door-to-door.

What types of food does Northwest Harvest need?
Northwest Harvest can use any nonperishable food or monetary donations. If you prefer to donate food, select shelf-stable food with the lowest saturated fats and refined carbohydrates (sugar, white flour). We buy white rice and beans in bulk, so we encourage you to donate other items.more
