NEEDED:
Special Event Volunteers for “Fill the Bowl” Guinness World Record Food Drive
September 17 & 18 at Stadium High, Tacoma

Northwest Harvest needs volunteers, age 13 and older to help with this historic food drive!  Energetic volunteers are needed to staff the event site for 24 hours (in three hour shifts) to help us meet our collection goal of one million pounds of food for the hungry in the Puget Sound area. For more information, call Volunteer Manager Stephanie Davison at 206.923.7453 or stephanied@northwestharvest.org. Thank you!

Your time is a valuable donation
We rely on our volunteers, and have opportunities available for groups and individuals year-round. You can help by sorting and packing food at our Kent Distribution Center, serving clients at Cherry Street Food Bank or assisting staff at special events. Whether it’s once a week, once a month or once in a while, your time makes a great contribution. Find descriptions of volunteer duties here.

To volunteer, first complete a Northwest Harvest volunteer application for a group or an individual. Volunteers must read and agree to comply with the Volunteer Code of Conduct. For more information, contact Volunteer Manager Stephanie Davison at 206.923.7453 or stephanied@northwestharvest.org.

Volunteers make it all possible
Volunteers are absolutely vital to our work at Northwest Harvest. It simply couldn't be done without them. Many of our wonderful, dedicated volunteers have served our clients for many years.

Volunteers last year donated a whopping 65,950 hours of their time to ensure the food we secure reaches our clients. That is the equivalent of 32 full-time employees.

Who can volunteer?
Anyone third grade or older may work at the warehouse and the food bank. Volunteers aged 15 years old or younger must bring an adult to work alongside them. Volunteers aged 16-17 may volunteer independently with a signed parental consent form. Please print and bring signed form with you on your first day of service. All volunteers must read and comply with the Volunteer Code of Conduct.

At this time, we are unable to accept court-ordered community service.

How can you volunteer?
